We’re thrilled that you’re considering worshiping with us! We realize visiting a new church can be stressful, so we created this page to help you know what to expect so hopefully you’ll have many of your questions answered before you arrive. If there’s something we missed, please feel free to email us and ask.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Vineyard Church of Holly Springs meets at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings at 190 Rosewood Centre Drive in Holly Springs.
If you’d like, arrive a few minutes early to check out some of the resources, get the kids checked into their classroom, and meet some folks. We have Pre-Service Prayer 9:50 am - 10:15 am, where we pray for our service and our congregation. Our services consist of a brief welcome and announcements, approximately 30 minutes of musical worship (led by a live band) interspersed with prayer and scripture reading, followed by a sermon that will last about 30 minutes, and an opportunity for ministry for anyone who would like to get prayer or respond to the content of the message. On occasion, services may include baptisms, communion, baby dedications, etc.
During worship, you may see people standing, kneeling, sitting or raising their hands. Feel free to respond to God in worship in whatever way He leads you.
Most people dress casually for service. The pastor usually wears jeans. If you prefer to dress up for church, that’s great too. The important thing is that you dress however you worship best. You may also want to check out the "Our Culture" section on the "About" page to get a better feel for what the atmosphere is like during a Sunday gathering.
When the service is over, feel free to hang out for a bit. A group of folks usually go out to eat together at a local place. We’d love for you to join us. So much community happens in these casual times of being together outside the church walls!
KIDS & TEENS
Kid’s church is available during the service for elementary school aged children. They are dismissed to follow their teachers upstairs partway through worship. The nursery is available for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Children in nursery can be dropped prior to worship, or shortly after if they are a fan of music. Both groups have an age-appropriate Bible lesson with time for snacks and discussion/play. All children that attend a classroom during service should be checked in by a parent/guardian at the laptop in the lobby before joining their classroom. We also have a room set aside for nursing moms, which includes tables, a glider, and other seating.
Youth Group for middle and high school students meets every Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. We also have various outings, camps, retreats, etc that we participate in throughout the year. During Sunday worship services, we encourage the youth to worship and serve alongside their families.
