Journey to the Cross is a self-guided, interactive and contemplative event. Individuals and families can come anytime between 7am and 8:00pm on Good Friday. You will have the opportunity to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice by experiencing a series of "stations" which depict various events leading up to His crucifixion. As you progress through these stations, you will Read, Reflect, and Act on different Holy Week moments such as The Last Supper (communion), Jesus praying in the garden, Judas's Betrayal, Jesus's condemnation by Pilate, His death on the cross and burial, etc. Feel free to move at your own pace and spend as long or as little time as you like meditating on the events and scriptures, or worshiping along with the Good Friday themed music and graphics. We hope this event will help prepare your hearts for Easter by reflecting on the significance of Good Friday! In order to ensure that participants don’t feel pressure to move through the stations faster than they are comfortable, hosts will stagger participant start times by a few minutes. During busier times, please be patient and allow the visitors in front of you space to read and reflect before approaching the station. For maximum effect, we recommend individuals age 12 and older proceed through the stations alone. Younger children will need assistance and supervision from a parent or guardian.
